When sending in your old core, we recommend you include your information, copy of invoice or atleast a note with your name and "core return" on it, so we can reference it and know who it is from and why it is here.
Core returns are subject to inspection upon arival, and at that time the value will be determined for the core refund.
There is no way for us to know what the value will be until we see it.
If your computer is one we are interested in buying from you,
we will offer an estimated price for your core,
such as " core refund up to $50. depending on the condition",
at the time we qoute you the sales price of ours.
That means the value of your failed unit is based on the condition of the unit,
a very clean board in good shape will bring more $ than one that has more damage to the part. Severely burnt, severely acid corroded, water damaged circuit boards or units with blown main processing chips have no core value to us.
We can not buy them from you, nor can we pay for the shipping to return it to you.
We can try to help you have some idea of what to expect, by having you check out the computer yourself to inspect the condition of the board, before you send it in.
But there is no way we can commit to a purchase of an item,
that we have no idea if it is good to rebuild or not.
Not all our sales have part #s that are on the buy list, if you are unsure about yours just call and ask us we'll be happy to help you.
Core credit will usually be given in the same manner as you paid.
If you paid with a credit card, we will credit your cards for the core.
If you paid with a check, we will send you a check.
We also buy certain cores all the time, so if you have any laying around get your list of part #s together and give us a call.
