We recommend you send your core returns back UPS ground or mail. Be sure to include your information, a copy of invoice or atleast a note with your name and core return on it, so we know who it is from and why it is here.
Core returns are subject to inspection upon arival, at which time the value will be determined for the core refund.
The value is based on the condition of the unit, as well as the amount or type of damage to the part. Severely burnt or water damaged circuit boards are not a good candidate for a full core refund, however it may bring some money back.
ECUs and TCUs with blown main processor chips have almost no value, they are not rebuildable and may possibly be good only for parts, if even that.
Wide spread electrolytic acid damage can also bring down the core value,
that would be the nasty green goo on the circuit board of the ECM or TCM.
Theres many varying degrees of damage, we really can only determine what we are willing to pay for a core, when we actually have it in our hands.
Core credit will be given in the same manner as you paid.
If you paid with a credit card, we will credit your cards for the core.
If you paid with a check, we will send you a check.
We also buy cores all the time, so if you have any laying around get your list of part #s together and give us a call.
